Dr Eileen Bowman, UCD, is the Principal Investigator (PI) and Dr Gabriela Martinez Sainz, UCD, is the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) for this project. Both researchers work in the School of Education, in the field of Languages/ GCE and ITE. Student input and design was core to this project. Resources were design-led and curated by the PI, Dr Eileen Bowman and the student lead project manager, Lucy Coard. The core team of students include: Lucy Coard, Emma Kerwick, Róisín Flanagan, Tsz Tsun Li, Michael Casserly, Cormac Delaney and Aaron Geraghty.
This project was funded by the UBUNTU network. The UBUNTU Network is a community of educators in post primary Initial Teacher Education, that work to support Global Citizenship Education (GCE).
We help teacher educators and future teachers gain a deep understanding of global development issues, recognise the need to question these issues, and equip them with the skills and determination to integrate them into their teaching, aiming to make a positive impact.
